THE DREAM
The half marathon competition, hosted by the Osaka Athletics Association, Kansai TV Broadcasting, Sankei Shimbun, and Sankei Sports,
and co-hosted by Osaka City, will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2027, and will be held in parallel with the 8th Kansai Student half marathon Championship.
Capacity is 7,000 people (first-come-first-served basis), and the participation fee is 10,000 yen domestically and 12,000 yen overseas.
It began to be held on the same day as the women's marathon at the 25th Osaka International Women's Marathon in 2006 (at the time, it was called "Citizen half marathon"),
and was renamed "Osaka half marathon" in 2008.
At the 30th event in 2011, it became the current women's marathon face-to-face course.
Among female athletes,
Japan Athletics Registered athletes who have placed 1st to 8th place can participate as "semi-invited athletes" in the 47th Osaka International Women's Marathon (scheduled to be held in January 2028).

It is a 21.0975km course starting from the east side of Osaka Castle Park (Tamatsukurisji) and finishing at Yanmar Stadium Nagai,
and is JAAF certified and WA/AIMS certified course.
Departure is at 12 o'clock on Sunday, January 31, 2027, and time limit is 2 hours and 5 minutes (based on Hopo).
It is held on the same day as the Osaka International Women's Marathon and consists of the women's marathon and the face-to-face course,
so there are many sections that run on the same course, and you can run on city streets that you cannot normally run.
The characteristic of course is that there is no elevation difference and it is flat so it is easy to run.
It is introduced as a high-speed course that even top players in the business group can compete in every year and aim to break their own records.
Starting from the 2017 competition, some changes were made to course, making it a competition where personal best breakthroughs are more expected.
After the race ends, the Osaka International Women's Marathon runners return to the stadium.
Cut-off point is 7 locations: 2.0km Tamatsukurisuji Funabashicho intersection south at 12:18, 5.8km Tamatsukurisuji north end of Bentenbashi 12:39, 6.9km Tamatsukurisuji Morinomiya station front intersection 12:44, 12.6km Imazatosuji Tobu Market front 13:14, 14.9km Matsumushi-dori Kitatanabe 6 intersection at 13:28, 18.6km Nagai Park southwest entrance at 13:51, 20.6km in front of Yanmar Stadium Nagai Marathon gate at 14:05.
Competitors who do not pass the cut-off point closing time cannot continue the race.
Competitors who are running the section up to cut-off point at the closing time and those who are clearly behind during the race must also stop racing immediately.
A player who is ordered to stop must press bib and follow the instructions of the game official.
You cannot participate in a wheelchair.
