The full marathon and 25 km events will take place in Petra, Jordan, on 4 September 2027.

The official 2027 schedule states that the local start time is 06:30, with assembly at the Petra Visitor Centre at 05:45 and a walk to the start line at 06:00.

The Visitor Centre is the assembly point, not the start line.

International participants must purchase the organiser's travel package, with the six-day package starting at USD 1,450.

The full and 25 km entry fees are USD 350 each and are charged separately.

The itinerary includes travel from the Dead Sea to Petra, a two-day Petra entry ticket, and some meals and transport.

A runner briefing and pasta dinner will be held in Petra on the day before the race.

Getting to the start

Petra Visitor Centre

Meet outside the Petra Visitor Centre at 05:45 on 2027-09-04, then walk together at 06:00 to the race starting line. The Visitor Centre is the gathering point, not the start line.

The 2027 six-day package includes arrival transfer from Amman Airport to the Dead Sea, then bus travel to Wadi Musa/Petra.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

On race day, meet outside the Petra Visitor Centre at 05:45, walk together to the start line at 06:00, and start at 06:30.

If you plan to use your personal belongings after finishing,

the official schedule instructs you to leave a bag labelled with your name and bib at the Visitor Centre before 05:30.

The 2027 six-day package starts at USD 1,450, but the USD 350 entry fee, international flights, the Jordanian visa and travel insurance are not included.

On 3 September, travel from the Dead Sea to Wadi Musa is scheduled, followed by an evening runner briefing.

Check the location of your accommodation the day before, taking the entry to the Petra archaeological site and the early-morning transfer into account.

Some registration closing notices on the official website still show dates from 2026, so do not interpret them as the 2027 closing date.
