At the 2024 Pocantico Hills half marathon, the runner managed foot pain and anxiety, then picked up speed in the second half. They finished the course, which they felt was shorter than advertised, in 1 hour, 53 minutes, 3 seconds and won the 60–69 age group.

Here are the ways to enter and what each requires. Check the organizer's page for whether entries are open.
Charity
Entry cost $100
The charity bib requires a $100 Entry fee entry fee plus a $500 fundraising commitment.
Start/finish at Rockwood Hall, Rockefeller State Park Preserve, off Route 9 in Sleepy Hollow (next to Phelps Hospital), Tarrytown, NY. Take Metro-North Hudson Line to Tarrytown Station, then walk toward the venue (race volunteers posted at station to assist).
Your start time, fuel and bag drop. Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The start and finish are set up at Rockwood Hall in Rockefeller State Park, and bib and souvenir pickup take place at the start tent from 6:00 a.m. on race day.
Parking is available at the nearby Phelps Hospital lot.
The marathon is capped at 500 participants, and the time limit is a generous 9 hours.
Walkers start one hour before runners.
