Course is based on the Wilson Trail and crosses Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories.
The Whole Course is about 80km with roughly 4,000m of cumulative elevation gain.
The 2026 event runs from southern to northern Hong Kong, from the city center to wilderness areas.
Besides the Whole Course, there are options of varying difficulty —
the Day course, Night course, and Round Trip course —
so participants can choose a section suited to their finishing goal.

Stanley (Stanley Gap Road) — reachable by bus 6, 6X, 66, or 260 from Central (Exchange Square), or minibus 40 from Causeway Bay/Wan Chai
The classic Wilson Trail (which the Raleigh Challenge follows) starts near Stanley Gap Road, southern Hong Kong Island. Note: one source describing an 80km route variant indicated a modified start near Tai Tam BBQ Site No.
2 instead — confirm exact start point via the event's Route Details page for your specific distance category. Hong Kong Wilson Trail thru-hike event with three distance categories (80km/40km/30km) that may have different start points.
Confirm specific start and MTR crossing procedure on the official Route Details page before race day.
Nam Chung (near Sha Tau Kok/Luk Keng, New Territories) — via minibus 56K from Fanling MTR Station, or taxi
Some category finishes end near Sha Tau Kok International School (~2km from the classic Nam Chung finish).
This event mandates a specific MTR segment as part of the official course: participants must travel between Quarry Bay MTR Station and Yau Tong MTR Station using the MTR only (no other transport permitted) to cross the harbour, since the Wilson Trail route has no direct footpath there — required mid-race transit leg, not an optional shuttle.

Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
The Whole Course starts at 8:00 AM on October 24, 2026, and registration closes on September 23, 2026.
As the figures of 80km and 4,000m of cumulative elevation gain suggest, the terrain difficulty is quite high,
making this a course best suited to participants with mountain trail running experience.
Times are local to Hong Kong. Check the latest official information before the race.
