“I chose the 8km race because course offered views along Nei Lak Shan's trails.”
At the 2016 Buddha You Run 8km, Yuan Shaofeng walked the gravelly climb to avoid injury ahead of a race the following month. After enjoying the views of Nei Lak Shan, he climbed 255 steps and collected a blue wristband at the top of the Big Buddha to finish.

Yuan Shaofeng walked slowly throughout the inaugural 2015 Buddha You Run 8km, enjoying the scenery in strong winds on Nei Lak Shan's uneven trails. He climbed 250 stone steps, circled the Big Buddha, and descended to enjoy the temple's vegetarian meal.
