More details Getting to the start Expo Citizen Plaza, Dunsan-daero 169, Mannyeon-dong, by the Gapcheon river; nearest Daejeon Metro Line 1 stations are Government Complex Station and Gapcheon Station, each roughly 1.5-2km away and not immediately walkable
IC card Expo Citizen Plaza is not directly at a subway exit, so plan on a short bus ride or taxi for the last stretch from Government Complex or Gapcheon stations. Use a rechargeable regional transit card (T-money compatible) for Daejeon subway and buses; single fare is about 1,400-1,500 KRW.

September mornings are cool, but the sun can feel intense during the day.
Bring a light outer layer to remove before the start, along with a hat.
The distance is short and not especially demanding, but avoid going out too fast in the early pace to ensure a comfortable finish.
Daejeon is famous nationwide for Seongsimdang bakery.
Hanbat Arboretum and Expo Science Park are also worth visiting.
