“It was tough running two races this close by but I wanted to try it out.”

At Scenic half marathon Krabi, Pernilla Bredolt won the women's 5km beach run in 20 minutes 40 seconds, then ran the dawn half marathon the following day. Heat and humidity meant brief walks at each aid station, but she finished within her goal time and appreciated the generous aid and organization.

The event includes half marathon and 10K distances and is part of the Scenic Marathon Series.

According to AIMS, the event dates are September 12–13, 2026, over two days.

The start is at Ao Nang Running Stadium (Krabi Provincial Stadium) in Ao Nang,

and the finish is at the headquarters of Hat Nopparat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park near Nopparat Thara Beach.

Course follows Krabi’s coastal scenery.

Both start and finish are in Ao Nang, not Krabi Town proper — short/walkable distance from most Ao Nang hotels.

No official race shuttle confirmed. General public transport between Ao Nang and Krabi Town by songthaew/shared van, roughly every hour from 6am, ~45 min, ~50-60 THB.

Krabi has no rail/metro — taxis, songthaews, and hotel transfers are the norm.

Transit card

Krabi transit is entirely songthaew (shared pickup trucks) plus boats — no formal bus authority or transit card was found. Songthaew fares run roughly 10-100 baht depending on distance.

Boat/longtail transfers to beaches and islands are typically 100-200 baht per person shared, or 800-1,500 baht to charter privately. Have small notes/coins ready since drivers often lack change.

Krabi has no railway or metro, so you will need to rely on taxis, songthaews, or hotel transfers.

From Krabi International Airport to the start in Ao Nang takes 30–40 minutes by taxi or van.

Songthaews and shared vans run between Ao Nang and Krabi Town from 6:00 AM at approximately hourly intervals, taking around 45 minutes and costing 50–60 baht.

Both the start and finish are in Ao Nang, so they are within walking distance from accommodation in Ao Nang.

Entry fee costs a minimum of 900 baht, and the race-pack collection location and hours were not specified in the official information.
