The road to your own record

THE DREAM
Not many people get on a plane to run a 10km race.
Bangsaen 10 is a rare exception.
It is designated as a road race under the World Association of Athletics Federations label and is also a regular member of the International Marathon and Road Race Association.
It is rare in Southeast Asia for a 10km single event to have this level of international recognition.
The 2026 competition will be held on September 13 and will consist of two events: 10km and 5km.
Start line is in front of the Heritage Hotel in Bangsaen Sai 1.
Course runs along the beach for 1km, then turns onto Bangsaen Sai 2 Road and heads towards Khao Sammuk.
It then passes through the Laem Thanh section and continues in a straight line to finish,
on which the Bangsaen Heritage Museum and Khao Sammuk Observatory are located one by one.
It is a flat structure with not much elevation difference, so it is good for aiming for a record.
However, there remains the condition that it is September in Thailand.
Aid station stands at 2km intervals and is equipped with portable toilets, energy drinks, and snacks.
It is so dense that it may seem excessive for a 10km race, but considering the temperature, it is not excessive.
Entry fee is 1,000 baht.
Applications for 2026 were open for only six days, from April 3 to 8.
There is one thing you must check.
The timing of this competition has changed every year.
2022 and 2023 were in September, 2024 and 2025 were in May,
and in 2026, it was back on September 13, so you should check the schedule again on the official website for that year before purchasing a flight ticket.
Bib will be accepted at the Bangsaen Beach Heritage Hotel area from 12:00 to 20:00 on September 11th and from 10:00 to 19:00 on September 12th.
Pick-up on the day of the competition is not provided.
It can be reached in one hour by car from Bangkok.
The area around the starting point is controlled, so no matter where you get off, you will have to walk the last section.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“However, because it was far off my target, I finished in 80 minutes.”
He prepared with a 67-minute target but struggled with the early heat and the hills from 5 to 7 km, finishing in 80 minutes. He shared his experience of feeling dizzy for some time at the finish and his thoughts about training for the next race.
