The road to your own record
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.

The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
This is the 41st edition, held on November 28, 2026.
It began in 1985 when the Seattle Marathon changed its course and moved from Saturday to Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I'm not gonna lie, this was one of the hardest race days I've ever had.”Starting the Seattle Ghost Marathon at 6 a.m., the runner completed two laps of an out-and-back course through Seward Park and along the lake. Despite deep fatigue, they finished after nearly 7 hours and enjoyed generous aid and food at the finish.
“I completed the Seattle Ghost Marathon Thanksgiving day weekend in 3:07:59.”At the Seattle Ghost Marathon, they ran roughly the first 14 miles with a companion and finished in 3 hours 7 minutes 59 seconds with family cheering. They slowed late but held up better than before, earning their first Boston qualifying time.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.
