This race starts at 7:30 PM on September 26 at the Haishang World waterfront plaza in Baoshan District, Shanghai.

Categories are the 8km glow-in-the-dark night run and the 4km fun run, with glow-in-the-dark face painting and a band performance held alongside it.

This evening running event is part of the City Amateur League series organized by the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau.

Previous editions followed a riverside route from a riverside plaza in Baoshan District to the Shanghai International Cruise Tourism Resort,

showcasing Baoshan's waterfront scenery.

The 2026 event has two distances: an 8 km fluorescent night run and a 4 km Fun Run.

Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Getting to the start

Metro Line 3 Baoyang Road (宝杨路) or Shuichan Road (水产路) station

Venue is Shanghai Sea World riverside plaza (海上世界靠滨江侧广场), Baoshan District, near Wusongkou Cruise Terminal. From Baoyang Road connect via local bus (29 or 160); from Shuichan Road it's walkable.

In late September, Shanghai's daytime temperatures start to drop, but humidity tends to linger into the evening.

Registration is capped and first-come, first-served, so it may close early, making it important not to miss the sign-up window.
