THE DREAM
One of Brandenburg’s largest running festivals, held through the Spreewald waterways known as the “Venice of the North.” It offers a full marathon,
half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a night run across several villages.
A cheerful rural festival whose finisher finisher medal is shaped like the region’s famous pickle, or gherkin.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“The changing surfaces were not a problem, and there are no uphill sections in this area.”
Roland ran the flat full marathon in the Spreewald with a late-race acceleration strategy. He fell about 800 meters before the finish and needed medical help, but still placed third in his age group.

Der wechselnde Untergrund war kein Problem und Steigungen hat diese Gegend nicht.

In Spreewald Marathon's half marathon event, the runner completed their first half marathon past canals, woods and bridges. Overcoming a brief low patch, they found the relaxed atmosphere and generous refreshments welcoming even for slower runners.
