The road to your own record

THE DREAM
A race in which participants complete seven marathons on seven continents within 168 hours.
True to its name, "7 Marathons 7 Continents 7 Days," it is an extreme challenge in both travel and physical endurance.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“Don’t look at each race as 26.2 miles.”In 2019, the runner completed seven marathons on all seven continents, dealing with Antarctic cold and ice, recovery and meals while traveling, and bathroom issues in Miami. The runner stayed focused by breaking each distance into laps, and their total running time was 36 hours, 47 minutes, 28 seconds.
We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
Preview the course and read what runners who went before you wrote.

RACE WEEK
Know the course and time limit, and race day comes into focus.
We have not confirmed the start line coordinates yet. The map shows the host city.
The first start is at Ultima Base in Antarctica.
The event then travels through Cape Town in Africa, Perth in Australia, Dubai in Asia,
Madrid in Europe, and Fortaleza in South America before the final race in Miami, North America.
Each stage is the standard full marathon distance of 42.2 km, and the 168-hour clock starts when the first Antarctic marathon begins.
The combined running distance of the seven races is 183 miles.
The key to this event is managing not only the time in one course but also the travel between races.
International charter flights between continents, ground transport, customs,
and venue coordination are combined into one schedule, with medical staff, hydration, and recovery support provided throughout.
The event began in 2015, and 2027 will be its 10th edition.
The men's fastest average time is Michael Wardian's 2 hours 45 minutes 57 seconds,
and the women's fastest average time is Estefania Ripoll's 3 hours 18 minutes 30 seconds.
The format of consecutive races combined with intercontinental travel defines the character of the event.
Pick up your bib, check your wave.
So on race morning, you can just run.
There is no standard race expo; instead, it is replaced by a race director briefing in Cape Town and a departure briefing for Antarctica.
The first marathon starts at Ultima Base in Antarctica on 1/30.
Airfare to Cape Town and local accommodation are not included in Entry fee, so participants must arrange them themselves.
1/27 (Wed): deadline to arrive in Cape Town; 1/28 (Thu): race director briefing; 1/29 (Fri): pre-departure briefing for Antarctica
participants book their own accommodation and meeting location; the organizer-designated hotel has not been disclosed
No information — not applicable; this is not a single-venue race
All inter-continent travel between the 7 marathon stops is via a chartered flight organized directly by the event operator, not public transit
This is the World Marathon Challenge —
7 marathons on 7 continents in 7 consecutive days,
starting on mainland Antarctica at Ultima Base and continuing through Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Madrid, Fortaleza, and Miami.
There is no single race venue or local transit system relevant here: participants travel between continents on a single chartered aircraft included in the event package,
so local subway/IC-card information does not meaningfully apply to reaching the 'start line.'
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
When deciding whether to participate,
you should consider your fitness to complete seven 42.2 km races within 168 hours and your experience of running on consecutive days.
Entry fee costs $50,700 in 2027 and includes the seven marathons, international charter flights between continents, and support during the trip.
Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so you should also consider when to register.
During race week, first check the gear check and briefing provided by the event, then prepare your personal equipment for all seven stages.
Medical staff, hydration, and recovery support are included in the operation,
but the schedule involves charter flights, ground transport, and customs between each race.
The event starts at Ultima Base, so you need a travel plan for the first Antarctic stage.
You must then distribute your equipment and energy according to the sequence of Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Madrid, Fortaleza, and Miami.
Times are local to Ultima Base / Cape Town / Perth / Dubai / Madrid / Fortaleza / Miami. Check the latest official information before the race.
