This half marathon is held in Xing’an, Guilin, home of the Lingqu Canal, one of the world’s oldest canals.

Starting at the Lingqu Museum, the loop course passes the Xiangjiang Campaign Memorial Museum before returning.

It brings the Qin-era waterway and memories of modern history together in a single course.

The course is a loop that starts at the Lingqu Canal Museum, runs through the city streets, and returns to the Lingqu Canal Museum.

It includes a section that passes the Xiang River Battle Memorial Hall and continues near the Xing'an Le Man Di theme park.

The fun run (approx. 8km) course is a shorter course that only goes as far as the halfway point at the Xiang River Battle Memorial Hall and back.

Field size: Half marathon 4,500 runners·health run (about 8km) 2,000 runners, 6,500 in total
Grade: CAA Grade A
Typical race-season temperature: around 13°C (55°F): Short sleeves or light long sleeves + arm warmers

Getting to the start

Xing'an Lingqu Half Marathon starts at Lingqu Museum (灵渠博物馆), Xing'an County, Guilin, Guangxi — per prior (2025) edition, since the 2026 event page was not yet published. No rail/metro station in Xing'an; nearest is Guilin, connected by expressway/bus.

Xing'an is roughly an hour by road from Guilin (which has rail and airport connections); plan on bus/car from Guilin.

Half-marathon entrants must upload proof of a finish in a half marathon or longer-distance race completed since January 1, 2023.

Participants under 16 or aged 65 and over require a signature from a parent, guardian or legal representative.

Entries are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and close once capacity is reached.

Race-material collection arrangements will be announced separately through the event app and official WeChat account.
