Sangam World Cup Park, Seoul
2026 offline event held on 15 August (Liberation Day) at Sangam World Cup Park, with about 7,000 in-person runners covering 8.15 km; most participants actually do a virtual run anywhere and log it via Naver Happybean, Instagram, or a blog. Nearest subway: Line 6 World Cup Stadium Station or Digital Media City Station.
This is the well-known annual Habitat Korea charity run, "815 Run, It Will Be Okay, Korea" (about 19,450 participants in the 2026 edition, according to news coverage); official participation runs through the Naver Happybean campaign page.
No shuttle noted; large majority of participants run virtually from any location and never visit a physical venue.
This Naver Happybean charity run is typically staged in the Seoul metro area; Korea's nationwide T-money (or Cashbee) card covers subway, bus, and even taxis, and is sold and topped up at any convenience store (GS25, CU, 7-Eleven) or subway station kiosk. Contactless foreign bank cards do not yet work directly on Seoul transit, so buy a physical T-money card on arrival.
A single subway or bus ride runs about 1,400-1,550 KRW.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
It's a midsummer competition. Heat and humidity are big variables.
Even if you start early, don't skip the water and avoid being too greedy for recording.
The distance is short so the burden is not great, but as long as you watch out for the initial over pace, it is enough to complete the course.
Times are local to Seoul. Check the latest official information before the race.
