Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“It turned into a tough battle, but I still managed to keep a steady, slow speed all the way to the end.”
Trying the event’s half marathon course for the first time at the Eselsburger Tal Lauf, the runner enjoyed valley views and frequent aid stations. Speed dropped sooner than expected in the second half, but a steady effort brought an official finish of 1 hour 59 minutes.

Es war nun doch ein Kampf, aber ich konnte es immerhin gleichmäßig langsam durchziehen.
Read the original on Peter’s Laufseite“I had to focus entirely on the race.”
On the short course at the Eselsburger Tal Lauf, the runner held a fast pace despite fatigue from hard races on the previous two days. Crossing finish in 21 minutes 49.30 seconds brought an age-group win on the runner’s 50th birthday.

The Eselsburg Valley Run is Herbrechtingen's signature running event,
following the Brenz River through the Swabian Alb and held on the first Sunday of every July.
The start is at Neue Bibrishalle, and course leads into the Eselsburger Tal (Eselsburg Valley), considered one of the most beautiful valleys in the Swabian Alb.
Passing the striking rock formation known as the Steinerne Jungfrau (Stone Maiden) shortly after the start is regarded as a signature section of this course.
Course combine paved roads with maintained trails by distance;
shorter races are known to have a higher proportion of trails, while half marathon has a relatively higher proportion of paved roads.
Organized for many years by local sports club TSV Herbrechtingen, the event's main appeal is running amid the natural scenery of the Brenz Valley.
