The city you want to run becomes your next trip.

THE DREAM
It's one of the AIMS internationally certified races.
Top runners from Taiwan and abroad gather in Taipei every year.
Race information is available on the official website, and package deals, discounts, and giveaway promotions are also run in partnership with travel agencies.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“This year, I prepared consistently and thoroughly for the 42K full marathon.”
After failing to finish because of cramps in 2023, the runner tried again at the 2025 race. This is a detailed race report covering their training, bib pickup and race-day operations.

今年為自己的42k全程馬拉松,穩定且紮實地做好準備。
Read the original on 映像生活 Image Life“My time was 1 hour 24 minutes 34 seconds. It was not a very good result, but it was what I expected.”
The writer finished the 2025 EVA Air Half Marathon in 1:24:34. The overpasses and the climbs and descents on the bridges were tough, but they said they experienced the race running at their own pace.

1:24:34,這個成績不算太好,也不意外。
Read the original on 運動筆記“My finishing time was 4:56:13. Completing this year's EVA Air Marathon felt like washing away the disappointment of not finishing two years ago, even though I had to grind it out the whole way, full of frustration.”
The writer alternated between running and walking after cramps set in past the 26K mark at the EVA Air Marathon's full-marathon distance. At 36K, they committed to finishing the remaining 6K, held on for a sub-5-hour goal, and crossed the finish line with a personal best of 4:56:13.

Get an EasyCard — NT$100 at any MRT station or convenience store, works on the MRT, buses, and even as everyday store payment.
MRT NTU Hospital Station (Red/Tamsui-Xinyi Line) or MRT Shandao Temple Station (Blue/Bannan Line), each ~10-min walk to Presidential Office Plaza
Full marathon, half marathon and 10K all start at Presidential Office Plaza in central Taipei's government district, well served by MRT.
Exit/road-closure map not yet published at time of research.
MRT Yuanshan Station (Red/Tamsui-Xinyi Line)
Race finishes toward Dajia Riverside Park (大佳河濱公園) along the Keelung River;
3K category held entirely within the park.
Official race materials mention a shuttle bus service between MRT Yuanshan Station and Dajia Riverside Park;
exact schedule/pickup points not published in pages found — confirm via official site closer to race day.
EasyCard (悠遊卡)
MRT station ticket machines and service counters, or convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Hi-Life, OK Mart) — ask at the cashier;
many locations are open 24/7.
Works directly at the gates
Alternative: Taipei Pass 1-day NT$180, 2-day NT$310, 3-day NT$440, 5-day NT$700 (unlimited MRT + city bus rides) —
Worth it only if you're taking roughly 6 or more MRT/bus rides in a single day, since a typical single MRT fare runs about NT$20-30.
The NT$100 EasyCard fee is a non-refundable card cost with no stored value included — you top it up separately in NT$100/500/1,000 increments.
As of July 1, 2026, Taipei Metro's official site confirms tap-in/tap-out with physical contactless bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, Diners Club, Discover) or linked mobile wallets now works directly at fare gates —
this is a very recent rollout, so EasyCard is a good backup for buses or locations where it may not yet be fully supported.
If returning an EasyCard for refund, the remaining balance is refunded minus a NT$20 handling fee (within 3 months);
the initial NT$100 is not refunded.
