THE DREAM
A major regional marathon in Shikoku, running from central Kochi along the Pacific coast and the Niyodo River.
Enjoy the course over Urado Bridge and the local crowds before finishing at Haruno Stadium.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
The runner describes following a 3-hour 30-minute pacer and remembers Kochi's food and the warmth of its people as highlights of the trip.
Their race in brief
The runner reports crowded toilets before the start and a delay of about 13 minutes in the rear blocks. Roadside support helped, and they describe adjusting their pace in narrow sections and around Urado Bridge.
