Minsk half marathon is a competition that started in commemoration of 'Minsk City Day' in 2013.

It is held in Minsk city center on the second weekend of September every year and is hosted by the Belarusian Athletics Federation and sponsor Belaruskali.

It is included in the World Athletics label road race calendar, and in 2024, course was certified by the International Marathon & Association (AIMS).

Approximately 25,000 people from 15 countries participated in the 2025 race,

and for the first time in history, it will be held over two days to increase participation to 30,000 in 2026 —

the family run and 3km on September 5th, followed by the main race of 5km, 10.5km and half marathon on September 6th.

Half marathon course start on Kirova Street near Dinamo Stadium and complete two laps centred on Pobediteley Avenue.

The route passes through the Starostinskaya Sloboda district on the far side of the Svislach River,

follows the riverfront and crosses a bridge before entering the finishing straight on Nezavisimosti Avenue.

Around course, the route passes Minsk landmarks including the Palace of Independence,

Victory Square, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, the “Hero City Minsk” stele,

the BelExpo National Exhibition Centre, the Bolshoi Theatre, the Palace of the Republic,

the Belarusian State Academic Drama Theatre and the Belarusian State Circus.
