THE DREAM
The North Pole Marathon will take place in summer 2027 on the geographic North Pole (90°N), atop the Arctic Ocean sea ice.
The icebreaker expedition begins in Longyearbyen on July 27, while the official schedule lists August 1–2 as the race window at the North Pole.

From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
Max and Hailey reviewed the 2026 summer edition. Puddles on thawing ice and deep snow made the course tough, and they said they each finished — one the half marathon, the other the full marathon.
