THE DREAM
The 20th Prehistoric Marathon Festival will be held on September 20, 2026, at a special stage in front of the Amsa-dong archaeological site in Seoul.
It's a marathon festival with a range of events including half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a 5km walk.
Every finisher receives a finisher certificate and a finisher medal, and an ultra-lightweight running jacket is given out in advance as a participation gift.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“It poured that day, and running in soaked shoes made my feet feel incredibly heavy. I learned a lot.”
The runner was aiming for the 39-minute range in the 10K, but lost their pace after misjudging the turnaround point. Rain made their shoes heavier, and they thought about stopping, but still finished in 42:34.

In the rain at Sunsa half marathon, the runner set a personal best of 1 hour 45 minutes 3 seconds. From 4 km, the runner followed the pacer and rejoined after tying their shoelaces. The runner fell behind on the final hill but finished all the way to the end.

그런데 1:45:03 PB달성이다 우어어어....
Read the original on 네이버 블로그“I registered for half marathon, but due to my condition, I ran the 10K and finished within an hour.”
The runner took part with a running crew and signed up for the half marathon, but ran the 10K instead because of how they were feeling. They finished within an hour and enjoyed the group's booth, the cheering, and sundubu after the race.

하프코스를 신청했으나 컨디션 문제로 10km를 달렸고 한시간 내로 들어왔어요.
Read the original on 네이버 블로그“There were even cute cavemen, and because the race was not very large, I enjoyed its modest, warm, friendly atmosphere.”
The runner took part in the 10K and enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere of a small local race. A glucose drink before the start upset the runner's stomach, and bicycle traffic along the Han River and the heat from the late start were inconvenient.

귀여운 원시인도 있고 대회규모가 크지 않아서 나름 소소하고 정겨운 분위기가 좋았다
Read the original on 네이버 블로그“It felt special to run on roads that were closed to traffic like this for the first time.”
The runner finished the Prehistoric Marathon 10K, which starts at the Amsa-dong archaeological site. The runner enjoyed the experience of running on the road and the sports massage after finishing, but was disappointed that bicycles were passing through the course and that traffic control was inadequate.
