Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“I am happy running simply for my health, for fun, and for my own satisfaction.”
In the runner's first half marathon passing Gwanghwamun and Cheonggyecheon, the second half was tough, but the runner achieved the goal of finishing under 2 hours 30 minutes. The runner enjoyed the cheers calling out the runner's name, although the complicated route near the finish was disappointing.

The YTN Seoul Tour Marathon is a tourism-focused event that connects Seoul’s historic landmarks and downtown roads through running.
The organizer, YTN, describes it as a sports-tourism event designed to promote public health and introduce Seoul to audiences in Korea and abroad.
Half marathon and the 11 km race are held together,
allowing participants to experience central Seoul’s buildings and streets along major roads normally used by traffic.
Course includes Sungnyemun Gate and Heunginjimun Gate.
Historic city gates and today’s business and commercial districts appear along the same running route, presenting Seoul’s old and modern city life in sequence.
According to YTN’s on-site coverage, the course passes through Euljiro and the Cheonggyecheon area before finishing on Mugyo-ro,
while half marathon uses the turnaround section near Dongdaemun Station and toward Yongdu Station.
Because the race distances differ, the section covered around Cheonggyecheon also varies.
Experience programs for participants and residents take place alongside the race.
Public-interest programs have also been added, including a campaign to prevent drug misuse with the participation of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
The organizer broadcasts the event live, showing both the start and the running through downtown.
It is a timed race designed to let participants experience Seoul’s streets and on-site programs together.
The word “Tour” in the event name reflects the fact that major landmarks are connected in person by course.

Only the starting point is specified on the official site, and the finals are not specified separately, but are usually at the same location.
There is no shuttle bus information on the official site.
Since roads are expected to be closed on the day of the competition, there is a recommendation to use public transportation.
The YTN Seoul Tour Marathon runs through central Seoul, well served by the subway network.
Use a T-money or Cashbee card, sold and topped up at convenience stores (CU, GS25) and subway station vending machines;
a standard ride costs about KRW 1,400-1,500.
Foreign contactless bank cards are not yet broadly accepted for transit fares.
Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.
Bib and the participant kit are delivered by courier before the race, and you must bring bib to the assembly area on race morning.
There is no on-site registration.
Changing rooms, a participant information center, and a medical booth are available at the venue,
while bag drop is operated in the Seoul Plaza and Press Center areas.
Leave enough time to organize your bag and move to your start group.
Start waves are assigned not only by race category but also according to the submitted finisher certificate.
Check the sign for your group, line up, and follow the instructions for the staged start.
Half marathon has aid station, sponge stations, and energy stations, while the 11 km course has aid station and sponge stations.
In its hot-weather guidance, the organizer also announced ice water at the finish and air conditioning in the changing rooms.
Traffic controls are implemented in stages around Sejong-daero, Sungnyemun Gate,
and Heunginjimun Gate, so check the official traffic-control notice when planning vehicle access.
Completing bag drop and confirming your start-group position before the start is the key to keeping your race-day movements efficient.
Times are local to Seoul. Check the latest official information before the race.
