THE DREAM
This full and half marathon marathon takes place in Tengchong, a border city in western Yunnan.
The route circles the city, heads out and back to the Rehai scenic area’s volcanic hot springs, and continues toward Heshun Ancient Town.
Finishers receive benefits at attractions including Heshun Ancient Town and the hot springs — a race built around “hot springs after the run.”

RACE WEEK

We have not confirmed the start line coordinates yet. The map shows the host city.
The full marathon of the 2026 Tengchong Marathon starts at Wenzhi Guangchang (文治光昌广场, beside Yanhu Park),
then makes a broad circuit through the city via the Jianguo Hotel roundabout,
Beierhuan Road, Huanlehu roundabout, Huayan Road and the Minhang Building roundabout.
It then turns from the Xuxiake Statue roundabout onto Rehai Road,
heads to the Rehai Scenic Area in the volcanic hot-spring zone and returns—one of the highlights of course.
The route then follows County Road 116 through the traditional-village section, passing the old street of Wanlouzi,
the cross-street in Heshun Ancient Town, Heshun Library and Yuanlongge.
After around 1 km on small roads between the fields, it continues via Provincial Road 233, the intersection by Guoxiang Cemetery,
Tengyue Road and Yifeicui roundabout before returning to Beierhuan Road and finishing at the start venue, Wenzhi Guangchang, where runners complete finish.
Volcanoes, hot springs and historic ancient-town streets all feature within a single course.

Participant Packet Pickup pickup information has not yet been announced.
Chinese races typically announce the pickup location and time through their official WeChat account 1–2 weeks before the race; participants generally must bring their own ID, and proxy pickup is not permitted.
No passenger rail serves Tengchong yet. Nearest access is Tengchong Tuofeng Airport, ~10km/15min from Tengchong town via airport shuttle bus or taxi.
Historical start point (per prior editions) is Tengyue Wenzhi Guangchang Square in Tengchong town; the full marathon route loops out to Rehai scenic area. using prior-edition info.
Likely same downtown square area as start per prior editions; no public transit exists within Tengchong town itself - local taxi/private car is the norm.

Registration is available through the official event website,
the “Tengchong Marathon” official WeChat account, and the Shuzixin Dong and Malamala apps.
Entry fee is priced at 200 yuan for full marathon, 150 yuan for half marathon, 80 yuan for the 6km Huanlerun (Fun Run), and 60 yuan for the 1km Kids Run.
Full marathon and half marathon finishers can gain free admission during race week to four major attractions in Tengchong—Heshun Ancient Town,
Rehai hot springs, Yinxing Village (the Ginkgo Village) and Volcano Park—by presenting bib and their original ID card.
It is a useful post-race sightseeing perk.
