At the 2017 Lihu Lake half marathon, Huhu served as the official 2-hour-30-minute pacer, guiding two first-time half marathon entrants and another chasing a target time to the finish. Cheered on by Jiangnan University students, Huhu coordinated the pace with fellow pacers and finished the job in 2 hours 29 minutes 57 seconds, finding satisfaction in helping others.

Wuxi

Start line is the intersection of Taihu Avenue and Yinxiu Road.

Follow Taihu Avenue, turn left onto Hongqiao Road, then turn left again onto Zhongnan West Road.

After successive right turns onto Yinxiu Road and Shuanghong Road, head towards Lihu Central Park.

Half marathon (21.1 km) reaches finish at Sunac Culture and Tourism City, while the mini course finishes at Lihu Central Park.

Course passes Lihu Park and the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area.

Yuantouzhu, a national 5A-rated attraction established in 1916 on the northwestern shore of Lake Tai,

is home to more than 30,000 cherry trees and is considered one of the world's three major cherry-blossom destinations,

alongside Hirosaki in Japan and Washington in the United States.

太湖大道与隐秀路交叉口 (Taihu Avenue/Yinxiu Road intersection), Binhu District, Wuxi — nearest Wuxi Metro Line 4 stations in the vicinity are 西园弄站 (Xiyuanlong) and 体育中心站 (Sports Center), though no official race-shuttle mapping from these stations was found

Per 2025 edition (2025-11-02, 07:30 start): road closures ran ~23:00 the night before to 13:00 race day across multiple roads.

Alternative: Wuxi Metro Day Pass (无锡地铁期限票, 1/2/3-day) CNY 12 / 22 / 30 for 1-day / 2-day / 3-day respectively — Worth buying if you'll take many unlimited metro rides within 24/48/72 hours; appears metro-only (not confirmed to cover buses), so skip it if you only need one or two point-to-point trips or also need buses — Alipay's QR ride code is simpler for occasional use. Sold at Wuxi Railway Station, Wuxi East Station, Suofang Airport Station, and Sanyang Plaza Station, or electronically via the official '码上行' app.

The Suzhou and Changzhou transit cards also work in Wuxi (regional interoperability). Wuxi metro and buses allow passengers to purchase a local transit card from station vending machines, and most gates also support contactless UnionPay, Visa, and Mastercard cards.

The standard bus fare is about 2 yuan. The starting area is located along Metro Line 4, making access convenient.

Established in 2016, the race is jointly organised by the Chinese Athletics Association,

the People's Government of Binhu District in Wuxi, the Binhu District Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and Wuxi Huipao Sports.

It is held every November.

The 2025 race started at 7:30 a.m. on November 2.

Bib, the timing chip and wristband cannot be collected on site on race day.

Runners must bring their ID and collect them in person at the designated time and location in advance.

The start line baggage-drop service closes at 7:35 a.m. on race day.

Personal belongings deposited at finish must be collected by 11:35 a.m. on race day.

Items left after this time will be stored by the organising committee for five days.

If collected later, the participant is responsible for shipping costs.

In November, Wuxi has average high and low temperatures of around 17℃ and 9℃, respectively,

with monthly rainfall of approximately 59 mm, making for cool late-autumn running conditions.
