Race reports: 4
AravindRan in 2026 · Finish time 0:41:27
“The first kilometer turned out to be the slowest, exactly as I had feared.”

The narrow opening sections and turns made it difficult to build speed, but they used the crowd support and downhill sections in the latter stages to finish in 41:27.

AkshayRan in 2025 · Finish time 59:42
“I felt emotional; several months of training had culminated in this moment.”

Akshay hit his goal of breaking 60 minutes at the 2025 TCS World 10K, finishing in 59:42. He started in corral C, worked through early congestion and a 5K climb, then drew energy from the downhill finish and the crowds in the city center. He found the aid stations, expo, and bib pickup convenient, but was less impressed by the course trash cans and the post-race snacks.

ManiRan in 2025 · Finish time 41:17
“The corral management this year was exceptional—no jostling, no chaos.”

Mani set a personal best of 41:17 at the 2025 TCS World 10K. The first 1.5K after the start was crowded, but they found their rhythm afterward and used the aid stations in the humid weather, finishing on the strength of support on the 5K climb and a final push over the last 400m.

Main-Perception-993Ran in 2023 · Finish time 00:53:40
“I had a great time and will hopefully come back next year in Group B.”

Main-Perception-993 completed their first 10K at the 2023 TCS World 10K Bengaluru in 53:40. The crowd right after the start made it hard to settle into a pace, but they found their rhythm after 4K and ran past cheering sections, music, and city landmarks. They rated the race's organization — aid stations, medical support, and signage — as well handled.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.

The TCS World 10K Bengaluru starts and finishes at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

After leaving the stadium, the 10 km course follows a loop through the streets of Bengaluru, so the routes to the start and finish are the same.

The event centres on the World 10K for international and Indian elite runners and the Open 10K for amateur runners, with the 5.7 km Majja Run also taking place.

The event was first held in 2008 and is organised by the Indian sports events company Procam International.

At the time, it was the youngest event to receive an IAAF Gold Label among the races with that status, and it continues as a World Athletics-certified course.

Other options include the 4.2 km Senior Citizens Run, the 4.2 km Champions with Disability event for participants with disabilities,

and the 10 km corporate category, in which teams of 3 compete for the fastest time.

Runners assemble at RSAOI (Rajendra Sinhji Army Officers Institute) Ground,

off Cubbon Road/Cubbon Park, official start/finish at Sree Kanteerava Stadium nearby.

Per 2026 edition: BMRCL ran Namma Metro from 03:30am (3.5hrs earlier than normal Sunday service), 12-min frequency from all 4 terminal stations and Majestic.

you typically need to register your details and share your registered number with the counter operator.

Since June 2026 the same card also works on BMTC buses.

No verified source confirms foreign contactless bank cards work at Namma Metro gates.

READY TO RUN

From race morning to after the finish.

Your start time, fuel and bag drop.
Know them ahead and the run feels easier.

As the race takes place in Bengaluru on 25 April, check the local temperature before the start and decide on your clothing and fuelling needs.

For the 10 km, prioritise the clothing and fuelling plan you normally use for this distance, adjusting your outer layer to the local weather.

It is safer to follow your own 10 km race plan rather than increasing your fuelling as if you were preparing for a longer distance.

Both the start and finish are at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, so choose accommodation with easy access to the stadium.

You will not need to plan separate routes to the start and finish on race day.

Amateur runners can choose the Open 10K, while the 5.7 km Majja Run is available for a shorter event.

Senior participants should check the 4.2 km category, participants with disabilities should check the separate 4.2 km category,

and corporate participants should arrange their teams of 3 in advance.

Times are local to Bengaluru. Check the latest official information before the race.
