THE DREAM
A UTMB World Series trail race that loops around Tre Cime di Lavaredo from Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Italian Dolomites.
The flagship 120K starts at 11:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2027, from Corso Italia.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“UTMB rules are UTMB rules, and this meant it was Lorna's first DNF in thirty-odd ultras”I took on the 120K, starting at 11:00 pm and reaching Misurina around sunrise, when the heat intensified. On the second night, my watch died and I even experienced hallucinations. At around 106 km mark, I missed the final time limit by more than 7 minutes and was stopped from continuing the race.
“We run to become stronger in life.”
I started the 80K underprepared but finished in 13 hours 49 minutes 22 seconds, placing 232nd. I credit my mindset, my family's support and consistent fueling for getting me to the finish.

The Lavaredo Ultra Trail is a flagship trail race in the Dolomites that began in 2007 and is now part of the UTMB World Series.
The flagship 120K features 5,800m of cumulative elevation gain and a 30-hour limit at time limit.
It starts at 11 p.m. from Corso Italia in the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, runs through the dark,
passes Misurina at 43km and Rifugio Auronzo at 48km, and greets the sunrise beneath the three peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
It then goes through Cimabanche at 66km, Malga La Stua at 75km, Rifugio Col Gallina at 95km,
Passo Giau at 103km, and Rifugio Croda da Lago at 110km before returning to Corso Italia.
The 80K is the only race that starts outside Cortina, in Val Marzon in Auronzo di Cadore,
and passes below the north face of Tre Cime (4,600m of cumulative elevation gain, 22-hour limit).
The 50K is a loop around the mountains surrounding Cortina course (2,600m, 12 hours),
while the 20K is a short, tough course (1,000m, 4 hours) with steep climbs and technical descents run at sunset.
The 10K is the lightest, with 300m of elevation gain.
In the 120K in 2026, Hannes Namberger won his fourth title in 11 hours 45 minutes 31 seconds,
and Sunmaya Budha set a new women's course record in 13 hours 33 minutes 18 seconds.
