The Cartão Turista costs R$5 and effectively discounts your ride to R$6.75 (vs. R$7.70 paying single fare by QR/Pix), plus gives a 3-hour transfer window.
As of April 2026, buses also accept Pix QR-code payment scanned directly at the turnstile as a cashless alternative if you don't want a card.
