THE DREAM
It is a Brazilian race marking its 35th edition in 2026.
The course runs through downtown Vila Velha and Vitória.
Picture the course in advance
and find the pace that fits you.
Streets lined with cheers, runners all around.
You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“The weather was cool, and there was no sunshine.”
In 2017, the runner ran 10 miles from Vitória to Vila Velha. Their pace dropped on the long bridge climb, but they achieved their goal in 1 hour, 18 minutes, and 52 seconds. They appreciated the cold-water stations and support along the course, but were disappointed that there was no sports drink after the finish and that the return transportation was inconvenient.

O tempo estava fresquinho e sem sol.
Read the original on Minha vida de corredor — Eduardo Hanada“I was very satisfied to finish 16km in 1 hour 26 minutes.”
At the 23rd edition in 2012, the runner ran 16km between Vitoria and Vila Velha. There were bridge climbs and heat, but the water stations and course signage were good, and the runner enjoyed the support from the grandstand at the finish.

Conclui os 16Km com o tempo de 1h26min, o que me deixou muito satisfeito.

Dez Milhas Garoto is a 16.090 km course linking two cities.
It starts in Vitória at Praia de Camburi, where Avenida Dante Michelini meets Rua Antônio Basílio.
The route follows Avenida Dante Michelini, Avenida Saturnino de Brito, Avenida América Buaiz,
and Avenida Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes, then crosses the Terceira Ponte into Vila Velha, with the Convento da Penha coming into view.
The finish is in front of the Chocolates Garoto factory in Vila Velha's Glória district.
Chocolates Garoto created the race in 1989 to mark its 60th anniversary.
It started as a company event for employees and neighbors of the factory, called Corrida Rústica, and stayed inside Vila Velha.
In 1990, the course was extended to Vitória, and the race got its current name.
The 2026 race is the 35th edition and the first to carry a World Athletics label.
For the 2026 race, start times could shift by 5–10 minutes, and the premium group (capped at 500 runners) started together right behind the elites.
Start timing stayed open for only 20 minutes after the general start—cross the start line after that and you won't get a time.
The Terceira Ponte (Third Bridge) covers the 7–10 km section, and per the official schedule,
the last runner was due through 15 km at 9:32:30 a.m. and at the finish at 9:42:19 a.m. If you fall behind the projected times for each section,
you'll be told to stop and taken to the finish on an organizer bus.
