The Mattoni Ústí nad Labem half marathon is organized by the Czech running series RunCzech and will take place on Saturday,

September 19, 2026, in the northern Czech city of Ústí nad Labem.

First held in 2011, it will reach its 16th edition in 2026 and is certified as a World Athletics Label Road Race.

In addition to half marathon, the event includes the 10km race, half marathon four-person relay,

Family Mile, and Kids Run as part of the Mattoni Running Festival held on the same day.

Known for its fast, flat course, it has earned the nickname “the Ferrari of races.”

The start and finish are both at Mírové náměstí, the central town square.

Course follows both banks of the Labe River and crosses the Masaryk Bridge,

from where runners can see Střekov Castle and the Central Bohemian Uplands on the opposite bank.

A distinctive section of course runs through the Spolchemie chemical plant,

an unusual experience among industrial buildings dating from the First Czechoslovak Republic.

Roads are fully closed to traffic, and about 90 percent of the course is paved.

Getting to the start

Mirove namesti (Peace Square), Usti nad Labem

2:30 pm start, confirmed for 2026-09-19. Bib pickup/technical area at the city hall (Magistrat mesta Usti nad Labem) atrium, adjacent to the square. Shuttle buses exist but ONLY for relay-race entrants (depart from Velka hradebni street to the exchange point) -- not available to half-marathon runners, and no return transport is provided after the relay exchange.

Course is fully closed to traffic; for driving restrictions the official page points to the Waze app rather than listing streets.

READY TO RUN

The 2026 race started at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 19 from Mírové náměstí and finished back in the same square.

The time limit is 3 hours from the starting gun, and the course map shows cutoff times for each kilometer.

Bib pickup was at the running expo on the upper floor of the Forum shopping center, next to Cinema City,

from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, and bibs could also be picked up at the Running Mall in Prague.

You need an ID card or passport;

someone else can collect for you with an online authorization through Runner's ID or a signed letter of authorization.

Changing rooms, bag storage and restrooms are in the town hall courtyard,

open to half marathon runners from 1 to 6:30 p.m. Hand your bag to the volunteer at the desk for the last two digits of your bib;

bags can be up to 25×45×70cm.

Start corrals are assigned by the projected finish time you entered and by when you registered, and your group is printed on your bib.

There are 6 aid stations about every 2.5km from 5km, plus 1 after the finish, with water, Gatorade, bananas and oranges, salt and sugar.

Pacers run at 7 target times between 1:30 and 2:30.

September averages a high of 18.6°C and a low of 9.9°C.

It's about 1 hour 10 minutes by train from Prague.
