“I was immensely enjoying the event, the area scenery, the Lake, the course, the rolling hills, even the sketchy weather.”

At the CanLake Ultra, the runner enjoyed the lakeside scenery and rolling course but struggled with calf pain from the middle of the race onward.

Patrick McHenryRan in 2014 · Finish time 9:54:45
“The aid station crews were uniformly encouraging and eager to help.”

At the CanLake Ultra, encouragement at the aid stations helped the runner push through late-race pain and finish within the 10-hour goal.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
