This race is based at Hitsujiyama Park in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture.

Day-before check-in, the start and the finish all take place in the park,

and course climbs and descends through the mountains of Chichibu and Oku-Musashi.

The 100K has 6,831m of cumulative elevation change, and about 80% of the route is unpaved mountain trail, with only short road sections.

Aid station are spread along the route, starting with the International Fishing Ground (国際釣場, around the 12km mark).

There is no time limit at this 12km mark aid station, so runners are not pushed to force their early pace.

The 100-mile route passes Chonenji Temple (長念寺, about 70km) and Kenmin no Mori (県民の森, about 93km) and shares course until near the 100K finish;

a defining feature is that the three distances overlap for long stretches.

Getting to the start

Seibu-Chichibu Station (Seibu-Chichibu Station, Seibu Railway)

Venue is 羊山公園 (Hitsujiyama Park) in Chichibu City, about a 21-minute walk (1.5 km) from Seibu-Chichibu Station and about 24 minutes (1.7 km) from Ohanabatake Station on the Chichibu Railway. A dedicated event parking lot is available.

At the 2025 edition, a shuttle ran between the event parking lot (600 spaces, by application) and the venue. Reserve the special parking lot for the competition at the time of registration and pay a maintenance cooperation fee (2,000 yen for 100K/100MILE, 1,000 yen for 50K).

There is a shuttle to the venue.

The finish is at the same Hitsujiyama Park venue as the start, within walking distance of Seibu-Chichibu Station.

READY TO RUN

Field limits vary considerably by distance: 100 runners for the 100-mile, 600 for the 100K, and 900 for the 50K.

Entry fee entry fees are ¥45,000 for the 100-mile, ¥33,000 for the 100K, and ¥16,500 for the 50K at the standard rate;

students aged 18–24 can enter at half price.

Time limit has a 32-hour time limit for both the 100-mile and 100K.

The race starts at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, and runners must finish by 2:00 p.m. the following day, Sunday, November 15.

The 50K has a 12-hour time limit, with 9:00 p.m. on the same day as the time limit.

There is also a rule requiring runners to set off again within 15 minutes after passing through the time limit of each aid station,

so careful time management is essential.

Registration is handled through RUNNET, and participant check-in, including bib,

is held on site from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, the day before the race.

Same-day registration is available only for the 50K, from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
