philipkperkinsRan in 2014 · Finish time 9:37:56
“I crossed the line 45 minutes later than expected, but no less satisfied with my accomplishment.”

A too-fast start at Stone Mill 50-Mile left the runner fighting leg pain for the final 20 miles. Walking climbs helped them hold on and finish in 9 hours 37 minutes 56 seconds.

Benjamin MazurRan in 2012 · Finish time 13:00:43
“But strangely enough, the thought of quitting never crossed my mind.”

An ankle sprain forced the runner to walk long sections late in the Stone Mill 50-mile race. Another runner helped through the closing stretch for a finish in 13 hours 43 seconds.

We translated a short line from each public race report and summarized the experience. Finish times are as stated by the author, and past editions may differ from this year's weather and operations.
