THE DREAM
The start is a 5-minute walk from Sakudaira Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
It is a half marathon that runs through the old streets of a former Nakasendo post town,
past views of Mt. Asama and the Yatsugatake range, and through rice paddies.
There are also tie-in features with a popular manga and interaction events with invited runners.

You'll be part of that scene.
Take it slow with the finish still in you,
and meet the city all over again.
From the joy of finishing to the tough moments — read what runners wrote themselves.
“There were quite a few ups and downs.”
TKG took part in the half marathon. The steep section after 6K and the climbs continuing past 17K were tough, and they said they stopped to walk twice along the way. Their time was in the 1:23 range. They said the Fist of the North Star theme and the commemorative race T-shirt left a strong impression.

結構なアップダウンがありました。

FLIGHT KYOTO took part in the third half marathon for the first time. Saku is linked to the creator of Fist of the North Star, so the theme carried through the manholes and busts near the station and the race T-shirt. Their pace dropped sharply on the steep climb early on, and they were mindful of the final uphill too, but after finishing they looked around near the station.

前半に急坂、ラスト4kmはずっと上りと、なかなか難しそうなコースです。
Read the original on FLIGHT KYOTO“The final 5km continued uphill, making it a tougher course than expected.”
The runner took part in the inaugural half marathon. With a generous 3-hour-10-minute cutoff, they had plenty of room to spare. The course dropped sharply over the first 5K, climbed back up, and then kept climbing for the final 5K. It doubled as a travel-style trip, with lodging near Sakudaira Station, easy transit around the station, and stops at local restaurants.
